Le 3 septembre 1944, les américains entrent au Cateau et libèrent la ville envahie depuis le 18 mai 1940. A l'occasion des 80 ans de la libération du Cateau, l'équipe de la médiathèque a décidé de sortir ses archives afin de célébrer nos héros d'hier et dresser une rétrospective de cette période trouble.
